Abstract

The present study aims to monitor the ovarian cycle in owl monkeys (Aotus azarai infulatus), identification of the follicular phase, ovulatory and luteal through fecal hormone dosage and ultrasound evaluation, allowing the inclusion of reproductive biotechnologies as ecoguided follicular aspiration. Will be used 20 adult females, aged between 5 and 10 years and 10 prepubescent females, up to 2 years of age, belonging to the breeding colony of owl monkeys (Aotus azarai infulatus), CENP. The research will consist of two phases: 1) Determination of profiles of fecal estradiol, progesterone and cortisol; 2) overstimulation and follicular aspiration ecoguided to study the feasibility and effectiveness of biotechnologies. The design is completely randomized, with analysis of variance and comparison of means by Tukey test at 5% probability.
