Abstract

The main goal of this project is to prepare the student to understand the topic "characteristics numbers" presented by Stong in the paper: Cobordism of Maps.To develop this project it will be necessary basic topics in Algebraic Topology, particularly in cohomology, cup product, vector bundles, and Stiefel-Whitney class numbers.
