Abstract

This academic master's project aims to investigate and to describe the possibilities of using vertical and aerial spaces in scenic compositions. For this was made a literature review about the concepts of space and scenic composition, specific training from the techniques developed by LUME - Interdisciplinary Center for Theatrical Research of UNICAMP - and a case study from the Suspended Company of Minas Gerais, there over 10 years developing work related to this area. Will be checked what methods adopted by the company in question to compose, address and develop concepts related to the use of space as textual element of the scene and as a catalyst for creating scenic. With the experiences and information obtained we will develop a scenic study. Thus, this project will be both, a theoretical and a practical research. We will search a way to contribute to scenic creation and to amplify the theoretical references on the subject .
