Abstract One of causes attributed to yield of soybean that 4Mg.ha-1 is the insufficient offer of nitrogen (N). The soybean needs in average 80 kg of N to each 1 Mg of grains, or 320 kg of N to yield 4 Mg, amount to be provided from biological fixation of N (BFN) and soil. Besides of demand be higher than offer, there are twice of soybean cycle which the N is one critic factor. The first time is at plant development beginning, when the symbiosis is not effective yet and can miss N, with lose of initial plant development and after the BFN. The second time is at seed filling, when the requirement of N is higher and the BNF is insufficient, this way the demand of nutrient for grains is supplied for nitrogen compounds degradation, resulting in the plant senescence. The demand of N to high yield not supplied for BNF and for soil can come by nitrogen fertilization. However, the same just makes sense if there isn`t jeopardize to BNF. This research aims to improve the soil use efficiency with soybean yield improve, and also aims to understand the plant reaction to nitrogen fertilization, in relation of fertilizer N recovery and its influence in the biological fixation. For this, will be evaluating doses and rates of N application, marked with 15N isotope. | |
