Abstract

The audio description (AD) is a translation technique that presents the most important elements of the image presented, so that students with visual impairments can understand the context of the situation presented in a didactic resource. The AD can reduce the communication barriers that educational visual resources presented to people with visual disabilities (DV). Looking For answer the following questions: could the AD help to inclusive education of concepts for Physics? Does the AD alone leads to mediation for understand the concept? If not, what features of AD or classroom situations can promote the learning of students with DV in Physics classes? This audiovisual resource can be used in inclusive classrooms theoretically providing the student with visual disabilities equal opportunity to learn? This research aims to analyze the effects of AD as a resource which facilitates learning in Physics classes for students with DV inserted into an inclusive context. It is proposed a investigative research that will use the technique of audio description in a video of Classical Physics that should be used in an inclusive context, seeks to discover which variables to be considered when using AD in an inclusive context. Participated in this research students with and without DV. The instruments used are questionnaires and interview scripts. The data collected will be treated qualitatively and quantitatively. Expected to understand if the use of the technique of audio description in inclusive classes for Physics can promote understanding of the concept discussed, namely whether students with visual impairment, and including the other students will have easier to understand with the explanation help of audio description.
