Abstract

This work intends to redeem the documentation on the "Project of the Industrial District" and "Plan of Presidente Prudente", both produced by the Center for Research and Studies of the Urban School of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (CEPEU) for the period 1967 to 1969 for the city of Presidente Prudente. This documentation consists of texts, maps and analytical projects. Presidente Prudente is located in the west of São Paulo and was founded in 1921. In the 60's was named Regional Capital, part of the work of regional planning at the time, specifically by the Interstate Commission Uruguay-Paraná Basin (CIBPU). Commission is carried out studies and proposed a plan for industrialization city chosen for a pilot deployment of industrial districts. The methodology aimed to not only develop the project of the Industrial District, but also to present and discuss issues related to their deployment, raising the national and international experiences, situating the emergence of districts in the State of São Paulo; researching and analyzing the region West Paulista and the City and County of Presidente Prudente. After presenting the design of the Industrial District itself has a search as the last item on Prefabrication. The Industrial Design District was held before the Master Plan, this fact had made many studies to select the suitable areas for deployment of Industrial Districts. This paper intends to present the documents, verify how the proposed Industrial Districts were effectively implemented and followed the guidelines of the documents and projects. (AU)
