Abstract

The proposal of this research is to analyze and characterize the nature of the work of the sound recorders in films, from the reports of professionals who work in Brazilian productions. Sound recording in cinema is the sound that is captured simultaneously to the image and, therefore, requires particular practices. In addition to the interviews with sound recorders inactivity currently, this research will include consultation and reflection on the subject via specific theoretical references. The main focus is to inquire about the artistic possibilities in sound recording, and, thereby, minimize the "purely technical" stigma that surrounds this activity. (AU)
