Abstract

This project proposes the realization of a research internship in France as a complement of the current doctorate research that the scholar develops in the Post-Graduate Music Program of Unicamp, under the orientation of Prof. Silvio Ferraz Mello Filho and with the FAPESP scholarship. This research, which is with FAPESP scholarship in force since 05/2011, deals with the concept of rewriting and its implications in the field of the music. The proposal of the research is to realize, through the analysis of different works, a wide survey of procedures and techniques of rewriting. Moreover carries out also a reflection on the concept of rewriting, thus establishing connections with other areas of knowledge such as philosophy and epistemology. The research also develops practical activities that seeks to synthesize in new music compositions the conceptual research and the musical analyzes made.The proposal is that the stage is held at CICM (Research Center for Computer Science and Musical Creation), an important research center focused primarily on the issue of music and technology and administered by members of the Department of Music of Paris 8. The internship will be conducted over a period of nine months between October 2013 and June 2014, under the orientation of the Prof. José Manuel Lopez Lopez.The research internship in the CICM seeks going deeper into the problem of the concept of rewriting, as well as an improvement in the use of computing environments that contribute in the analyzes that will be present in the final thesis to be presented at the Post-Graduate Music Program of the Unicamp.
