Abstract

New discourses about sexuality were constructed from the emergence of new gender configurations and new forms of subjectivity in the contemporary world. Before these changes, we intend to examine in which way the concept of sexuality found in psychoanalytic discourse, especially in relation to the Oedipus complex, is influenced by the new discourses of gender. Points as goals of this research, both contextualize sexuality in psychoanalysis as the creation of the concept of gender and, from this, to investigate whether the assumptions psychoanalytic recognize the new settings of sexuality or restricting, regulating them. The methodology to be used will consist of a survey of available literature on the theme, which will reach some thoughts and considerations about the research problem. The theoretical framework in this study is guided in the work of Michel Foucault on power devices that control the production of discourses and the creation of a true sexual. Therefore, we try to discuss the universality of psychoanalysis and its host of new forms of gender as critical theory and theoretical practice. (AU)
