Abstract

This research has the objective approach, relate and interpret urban signs regarding architectural and social, through theoretical consolidated in the area of Visual Communication and also with the participation of passersby neighborhood. The clip will be directed with greater perfection to the effect caused by these visual information exposed, often inappropriately, such as commercial signage and traffic information signs, which may obscure the architecture of the building or impair the guidance of people in case informative.The theoretical and practical material will be based on the design-environment relationship, which, according Homem de Melo (2005), to become enjoyable, should consist of four factors: vitality, meaning, and identity complexity. The study has two parts: a more conceptual analytical, explanatory raising points, and also serve as a supporting study for possible changes in the long term, government agencies, and a photographic record of the research scenario of signs constituting the cut the urban fabric chosen for study. There is the goal of the final delivery of the work to be in a product graph, composed of images and infomapas merged with explanatory texts.
