Abstract The subcomplex Triatoma brasiliensis comprises species: Triatoma brasiliensis, T. juazerensis, T. lentivirus, T. melanica T. melanocephala, T. petrochiae, T. sherlocki, T. tibiamaculata and T. vitticeps. These species have many questions about their biology and phylogeny, in addition to the epidemiological importance due to the occurrence of copies household. Given this finding and serving up studies of molecular, morphological and morphometric intend to evaluate aspects of the phylogenetic species referred subcomplex. For both morphological characters of eggshells, the process I Urotergito, female external genitalia and male internal genitalia will be studied by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). By optical microscopy will be developed morphometric studies: morphometric geometry head and wings of an adult female and male specimens, measuring the length, width, diameter and area of opercular opening of eggshells, measuring the length of the head, chest, abdomen, the four segments of antennae and proboscis of three segments, as well as parameters of the head. Sequences of mitochondrial genes Cytochrome b and Cytochrome Oxidase I will be extracted and evaluated in order to propose phylogenetic hypothesis for species of the subcomplex. (AU) | |
