Abstract

In his studies on the subject of education, Adorno mobilizes the Freudian concept of malaise in civilization in order to try to understand the emotional obstacles presents for an education aimed at the emancipation of the individual. This research project aims to examine exactly how Adorno mobilizes this Freudian concept of malaise in their educational texts.
