Abstract

This project proposes the study of the painting A Educação Faz Tudo by Jean-Honoré Fragonard conserved at the São Paulo Museum of Art Assis Chateaubriand. The objective is analyzing this painting in its formal and thematic conception, the relation with the context and the Jean-Honoré Fragonard's artistic career in the 18th century. It is very important to analyze the artistic references in the Fragonard's paintings and his dialogue with his contemporary painters. Also we propose to understand of which sort of manner the education's issue is managed on this Fragonard's canvas and its relations with the education debates by the French philosophers in this period, especially Jean-Jacques Rousseau's Emile and the discussions around it.
