Abstract

The ethnographic approaches are considered as recent as a methodological alternative to research in physical education at school, however, its importance can be asserted on the basis that the ethnography enables us a different perspective to know a particular object and/or phenomenon that if either apprehend. Witch the from the creation of a database on ethnographic research in Physical Education, elaborated in the Post - Graduate in "Strict Sense" programs in Education and Physical Education, aimed to build schemes of identification containing titles, authors, mentors, post - graduation programs, start and finish year of the research. All titles self-described on their resumes as ethnographic in Physical Education will be detached and analyzed in its full content, considering its main themes, problems, initial questions, objectives, methodologies, techniques and tools, elaboration of reports, analyzing procedures, results, their curricular nexus, conclusions and limits indicated. In the search to highlight similarities, opposites, contradictions, complementarities, units and dissension, both conceptual and methodological, it is expected to be able to create a balance on the manners and characteristics that establish knowledge in perspectives theoretical ethnographic, curricular critical and post-critical, included in the research on school pedagogical practices in physical education.
