Abstract

This research aims to analyze the trajectory of Brazilian artists Marina Caram and Odilla Mestriner, starting from works that are in the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo and MAM / SP to then establish a dialogue with their other works. Furthermore, we are interested in examining the conditions of artistic production from Mestriner and Caram, relating with the social, political contexts of the 60s and 70s. We will consider, in addition to their plastics specificities and their poetics and techniques, attempts to create spaces for the production of art made by women. For this, we will adopt a posture that does not agree with the existence of a supposed "feminine identity", on the contrary, the notion of femininity is taken as a speech produced historically and socially.
