Abstract

The quality of health care is determined by a complex process that includes aspects of the judgment of professionals and users. Ensure quality is basically an effort to find and overcome problems, ie, is to modify the performance and behavior of professionals, institutions and systems toward more appropriate and acceptable practices in terms of outcomes and costs for health. The evaluation of health services can only be conducted from the establishment of criteria, standards and indicators that can be measured in quality for specific programs such as hospital accreditation programs. Highlighting the hospital accreditation program as an object of this investigation, it is expected that this project reach its goal of investigating the hospital accreditation from the perspective of professionals, considering their measurement with a view to promoting quality. This study will be developed in two stages, the first being a study of methodological nature in order to perform the cross-cultural adaptation and validation of the "Quality Improvement Implementation Survey II", developed by Shortell (1995). The second stage comes to a cross-sectional study occurs when the measurement of aspects related to leadership, quality of strategic planning, human resource utilization, quality of management, quality results and customer satisfaction in hospitals accredited in terms of the professional , using a validated instrument and adapted.
