Abstract

The objective of this research is to do a work of historical documents for survey papers on musical activities at the Cathedral of Sé de São Paulo: his chapel masters, organists and instruments used. This work could provide valuable data and documents for the understanding of the musical activity of the religious state of São Paulo. This research will focus on documents belonging to the Archives of the Metropolitan Curia of São Paulo, in texts, news published in newspapers of the time and academic scientific articles.
