Abstract

The proposal pursues to study the improvement in the quality of recycled CDW aggregates in order to provide better performance when used in structural concrete, totally replacing the natural aggregate without increasing the consumption of water and cement. Recycled CDW aggregates will be treated with water repellent silane solution to investigate the behaviour of the material in its microstructure. It will be analyzed for its eco-efficiency in this type of treatment in relation to high thermal treatment and milling techniques that cause greatest environmental impacts.
