Abstract

Adolescence imposes new demands on family group, that experiences the anguish of fading borders - those that separate "us" from "others", but also the borders within the primary group, between generations. The intense process of affiliation of the adolescent to other groups, accompanied by the gradual removal of the family space, walks towards desired, but threatens pacts and alliances that ensured the maintenance of the group. The family envelope and the containing capacity of the family are strongly required for it to greet the transformation of emotional experience ongoing on the adolescent. And in itself, we affirm. The family space, the home, is an important element of support for the boundaries and group identity. Furthermore, as metaphor of the mother, comprises an important component of support for the accomplishment of the continent function by primary group. But, when failures occur and the protective role of the family space seems to be converted in an expulsive function, when the conditions to reside prove to be disaggregated? We propose to investigate with groups of adolescents in social vulnerability the relations between the conditions of the space of family life and the accomplishment of the continent function by the family, considering the psychic transmission process at stake in the "adolescence" of the primary group. To realize the study, will be conducted individual interviews with adolescents and focus groups with all of them, based on the theoretical and methodological assumptions that underlie the psychoanalytic group work, in particular the notions of the functioning of groups of Kaës.
