Abstract

This study aims to establish the limits between what is imaginary, what is Fantastic, and what is Wonderful in Literature, from studies of Todorov, Ceserani, and Volobuef, among others, and see which among these "genres" or "modes" are held in Oceano mare (Ocean Sea), published in 1991 by Italian author Alessandro Baricco, and further, as the main themes of the author's work as a constructive force of narrating and resistance of human being before pressures on the environment, among others, that can be glimpsed in the corpus studied.
