Abstract

The presence of organic contaminants in marine compartments, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PHAs) have been reported by several research developed in the world and its impact on populations that inhabit these ecosystems is not fully understood, there is the suspected of binding of these contamination with the development of neoplasm in some animals populations, for example the fibropapillomatosis in species of sea turtles, In this sense, this project aims to train the researcher in methods of environmental risk assessment for PAHs in neritic areas for turtles and modern methods of extraction and identification of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). This training will be held at the Faculty of Fisheries Kagoshima University in Japan. (AU)
