Abstract

Based on observation of the Brazilian political scenery nowadays, this research focus is, from quantitative and qualitative data, inquire how was the Social Democratic Party genesis, starting from three main questions: relative to the provenance of all federal congressmans and senators of PSD, and the state congressman of São Paulo in the party; from which party the mayors came how many among them were reelected in 2012; and for last, understand how happened the formation of this party in São Carlos and Ribeirão Preto (Both cities located at the inward of São Paulo state). It's necessary a study about this theme, since a better comprehension about the behavior of political parties is something of high relevance to the political circles. (AU)
