Abstract

The project consists in the detection and analysis of traces of small streams, which, on account of urban interventions, are no longer part of the city landscape. Whether for reasons of sanitation works, whether due to roadworks, such streams are not present directly in consciousness and, in most cases, not even in the memory of citizens. However, the existence of disguised numerous watercourses manifests itself on the surface in the form of lanes, alleys, stairwells, small public areas or water insurgencies. The most diverse urban solutions adopted in accordance with the different urban patterns are themselves denouncing the persistence of the natural elements overlaid by anthropogenic elements. The project focuses on urbanization areas consolidated or in process of consolidation. Thus, a large number of cases that occur not only in the city of São Paulo, but in many Brazilian cities, may be contemplated by the activities and methodologies proposed here. The case selected for this particular project corresponds to the stream Guami, located in the region of Pirituba/Freguesia do Ó.
