Abstract

Hypsiboas albopunctatus is a amphibian anuran of family Hylidae, with presents a geographic distribution across the South America. It is a species of medium-sized, on which there is no research on morphofunctional or systemic effects of environmental contaminants. Studies on the digestive tract are important because they function on transport, digestion and absorption of nutritive particles into the body functioning. The Benzo-[alpha]-Pyrene is a contaminant with belongs the class of PAHs - polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons - responsible for the contamination of various environments and cause adverse effects in several species of the world. The objectives of this work are: to promote a histological description of the organs: esophagus, stomach and intestines and analyze the effects of contaminant B±P in this organs. For it will be analyzed 18 specimens of Hypsiboas albopunctatus (Anura: Hylidae) submitted a two concentrations: 3mg/Kg and 7mg/kg in the experimental period of seven days. The animals will be euthanized and dissected; the organs will be removed and fixed. Procedures in paraffin and resin will be made. The techniques used for coloring are: toluidine blue, HE, PAS and Gomori's trichrome. (AU)
