Abstract

This research project aims to investigate the process of expanded photography's legitimation and consolidation into museums of modern and contemporary art, at the first decade of this century.For this, it is intended primarily raising, reflection and discussion about the concept of expanded photography, through references and interbreeding information with scholars of the theme.Then and concomitantly, the project aims to search from field investigation, some important museums of modern and contemporary art, to then cross references and information arising from research in museum collections and documents, such as catalogs, own criticism in newspapers and magazines, among others, as well as interviews with curators, people, officials linked to museum spaces researched and artists of territoriality that have covered their productions within the context of expanded photography.From this intersection of information, we will develop analysis, reflection and critical writing about the theme studied and the evidences findings.
