Abstract

Considering the problem of teacher's work, this project seeks to understand the complexity of such work, taking into account the role of prescriptions through analysis of teaching materials, to be selected from the Textbooks Guides - PNLD 2013. Theoretical frameworks that address the issue of teaching (Bronckart, 2004; Machado, 2004, Souza-e-Silva, 2004) will be used, as well references from the Historical-Cultural Theory to assist in the discussion of educational materials as classroom work prescriptive mediating instruments. The Teacher's Book of some collections will be used, trying to understand the look launched by this instrument on the teacher, and how this look can influence their work. It is also believed that the research will assist in the development of criteria for the analysis of teaching materials, since the scientific literature that has as its central focus such analysis little has brought up discussion of the possible implications of prescriptive mediating instruments (in the case, teaching materials) in the teacher's work.
