Abstract

This project deals with the construction of attitudes of obedience and discipline among children and youth members of the Boy Scout movement in Brazil. Based on the theoretical analysis, the sociology of domination of Max Weber, we seek to understand how the hierarchy so present and disseminated by movement develops between all possible branches of Scouting Brazilian, both among the very young, as the relationship enters these and the adult volunteers, called Scout. For this, an analysis bus case empirical, based on a detailed study of personal progression guides that guide the personal development of youth members, along with a comprehensive bibliography provided by the Union of Scouts Brazil (UEB), particularly its program Organisation and Rules (POR).
