Abstract

The influence of agricultural practices on the emission of greenhouse gases is a subject of great interest , especially when it comes to CO2 , the main component of the additional greenhouse effect . Therefore, it is believed that the adoption of the tillage system with reduced tillage crop rotation reconciled in the culture of cane sugar can contribute to a positive balance of CO2 . Thus , the goal of this project is to evaluate the effect of tillage and crop rotation on the flow of CO2 and its correlation with the physical and chemical properties of soils cultivated with cane sugar. The work will be conducted under field conditions in Iracema mill , located in the municipality of Iracemápolis - SP . The experimental design is a randomized block design in a 2x2 factorial design with four replications . The first factor involves the area with and without rotation and factor 2 involves two conditions of tillage ( minimum tillage and conventional tillage ) . Each plot will consist of 15 lines of cane sugar, with spacing of 1.5 m and 34 m long . Periodic evaluations will be held areas aiming to follow changes in the flow of CO2 in the chemical, physical , microbial biomass carbon and respirometry . At the end of the experiment , it is expected that the results may meet some questions about the benefits of crop rotation and tillage adoption of soil conservation in soils cultivated with cane sugar.
