Abstract

Stage of research will be developed abroad, the University of Tennessee, USA. Monitoring of disciplines will be held at the University of Tennessee, and other activities such as lectures, technical meetings, field days, and performing research project. The search will be performed at the Center for Research and Education at the University of Tennessee in Crossville, TN. 20 experimental paddocks (experimental unit) with 2 heifers per paddock will be used. 3 forage species, with supplementation strategies, varying in quantity and frequency of supply in accordance with the content of crude protein will be used. The supplements were formulated to be isoproteicos, but varying the content of rumen degradable protein, to meet the daily requirement of the animal. Every 28 days there collecting forage and rumen fluid. The samples are stored at -20 ° C for later analysis of ammonia nitrogen, and concentration of volatile fatty acids. Data will be analyzed using PROC MIXED procedures of SAS. (AU)
