Abstract

The Project will be developed in partnership with the University of Aveiro. In this project the geological and geochemical characterization assays defined in the Project of Scientific Initiation of the student will be performed. The laboratory where the student will perform the internship is focused on geological and geochemical analyzes. As the student is performing the characterization of other residual soil collected in Eldorado, we intend to characterize the particle size with and without dispersant (pipetting method, which has not performed in Brazil), to compare the XRD results, to do analysis in ATD/ATG (as the equipment of the Laboratory of Geotechnics - EESC/USP is not working), to perform adsorption experiments with lead and zinc at different times and with different concentrations (the atomic absorption belongs to the department where the student will hold the internship, facilitating obtaining the concentrations, because in Brazil we would have to pay for such tests).Thus, this project will help in the development of the Scientific Initiation project, besides providing greater knowledge of the techniques to the student, who will make all analyzes.
