Abstract

The study of differential equations is a fascinating subject within mathematics, because their wide application in various branches of science. Moreover, it is extremely important for the formation of a student's academic progress in the area of exact sciences. Looking for subjects like calculus and analysis, we can say that the differential equations work like a beating heart. It is a mathematical tool for solving important problems in several other areas as physics, chemistry, biology, sociology, etc. There is a vast literature on the subject presenting several mathematical models based on differential equations in these various areas, with very interesting results and important. Therefore, in this project we initially that the student study, assimilate and accumulate knowledge on the theory of ordinary and partial differential equations and their various applications. In a second step particularize this study applied to a branch of science that studies the rate of chemical reactions and the factors that influence it. The so-called chemical kinetics of reactions.
