Abstract

Microbiological aspects of subclinical and clinical mastitis cases diagnosed at MastitisResearch Center - NUPEMAS, and its correlation with breeding rates in dairy herds will be evaluated. Different isolates from mastitis cases will be correlated with breeding results in cows. The goal is to evaluate a minimum of 60 strains of each pathogen: Staphylococcus aureus, coagulase negative staphylococci (CNS), Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, Corynebacterium spp., Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumonia, isolated from subclinical and clinical cases.
