Abstract

This study aims to the retrospective analysis of medical records of 117 patients with fractures of mandibular angle, belonging to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service of the School of Dentistry of Ribeirão Preto (FORP/USP) from services performed in period between August 2002 and July 2012. The analysis will be directed to data on population variables such as age , gender, race and profession, imaging tests ordered, addictions , etiology , signs and symptoms , fracture classification , associated fractures of the face or not , approach , treatment , time to intervention surgical and hospitalization , beyond the period of follow-up and complications . With the obtained results and the literature review we can better understand the population served, the most frequent etiology and compare the treatment. To analyze the results, the values of the measurements will be organized in tables and a descriptive analysis of the results will be held.
