Abstract

This research seeks to study deteriorated urban areas of public importance and its intrinsic socio spatial relationships, in order to envision urban imaginary able to inform projects of architecture and urbanism in the "challenge of radical experimentation" for mid-sized cities in the countryside of São Paulo, specifically, Birigüi-SP. Accordingly, we require the study of the context of the central area and contiguous with the bed steely city Birigüi-SP - the vicinity of the old Railway Station - in search of situations and types townspeople able to trigger the impasses, dilemmas and entanglements present in urban space, searching for qualities that will be collected and analyzed, by means multimediatic and sketches.
