Abstract

Tuberculosis is a zoonotic disease of major public health importance, so its quick and accurate diagnosis coupled with the mapping of epidemiology are essential to combat the dissemination of the disease responsible for the deaths of countless people. Thus, we seek to make direct diagnosis of Mycobacterium bovis from their lesions suggestive of disease in adult cattle slaughtered in slaughter plants under federal inspection services (SIF) of the State of São Paulo. During the slaughter of the animals will be identified and collected tissue samples with granulomatous lesions macroscopic characteristics, which will be extracted DNA to perform the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), targeting a rapid and accurate detection.
