Abstract

Considering the macrophytes represent an important part of the biomass of aquatic environments and their decomposition is an important source of detritus that can determine characteristics of this environment. The aim of this project is compare the kinect and chemical variation of fulvic and humic acids formed from Oxycaryum cubense decomposition. Samples of plant and water were previously collected and were made incubation chambers. From the dissolved fraction were extracted and separated fulvic and humic acids. These humic compounds will be used in new incubations under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. On sampling days aliquots will be taken then analyzed pH, electrical conductivity, organic and inorganic carbon and spectroscopy at ultraviolet and visible regions. (AU)
