Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of two metalloproteinases inhibitors of bond strength on dentin treated with Er:YAG laser, after degradation of the adhesive interface. Will be selected 40 third human molars (n = 10), which will have the crown portion cut in the horizontal direction in order to expose the dentin portion. The Er:YAG (260mJ/4Hz) will be applied to the dentin surface. The specimens shall be conditioned with 37% phosphoric acid for 15 seconds, rinsed for 30 seconds, and dry with air jets. Then will be randomly divided into two groups according to the rehydration of the dentin surface: A. 2% chlorhexidine and B. Galardin at a ratio of 1.5 ¼l. Does the employee Single Bond. At the end of the adhesive system application, a plateau will be made with a composite. The specimens will be restored, sectioned in order to obtain approximately 6 sticks of approximately 1.0 mm2 (± 0.2 mm2) and divided according to the method employed for the chemical degradation of the adhesive interface: subgroup 1) 24 hours deionized water storage; subgroup 2) 5 hours NaOCl immersion. After the adhesive interface degradation, the sticks will be submitted to microtensile test using a universal testing machine (0.5 mm / min). The pattern of failure will be analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and the data analyzed for their distribution to choose the appropriate statistical method. (AU)
