Abstract

This research aims to study the proposal, based on the analysis undertaken by Michel Foucault, the development of psychiatry since the eighteenth century, particularly its growing intervention in the population through regulatory practices of life as well as their connections to the judiciary and state. Using the cartographies of the books that were made by Foucault on the subject of proposed studies, questioning about the conceptual updates of Psychiatry and its interfaces with psychology in current times.
