Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate in vitro using a strain gauge, the strain distribution around implant with conventional and morse taper connection comparing with plateau implants. In five blocks of polyurethane two implants will be fixed, with each connection type. Then their prosthetic abutments are positioned for the implantation of morse taper connection will be the solid abutment being screwed with a torque of 20Ncm and the Bicon implant, the abutment is seated upright inside the implant and only pressed with the aid of a hammer. Four strain gauges will attach each implant tangent so as to be positioned in diametrically opposed around each of the implants. A load applying device (DAC) is used to allow static axial loads on the occlusal surface of the abutment where the loads are 30 kg at intervals of 10 seconds. 180 data will be obtained from the two implant systems, the four horizontal strain, vertical strain for two and under three repetitions, which will be submitted to ANOVA and Tukey (5%).
