Abstract

Sperm antigens have become target for many studies in order to produce a contraceptive vaccine. In canine species, the contraception or the sterilization using vaccines would be the safer, fastest and cheaper option for population control. So, this study intends to identify two proteins related to sperm viability using one-dimensional electrophoresis and mass spectrometry. Besides that, those two proteins will be purified by exclusion chromatography of mass in gel filtration and their effects on sperm viability will be verified.
