Abstract

The project aims to offer subsidy through Anthropogenic Geomorphology, Landscape Archaeology and Ethnogeomorphology, to identify the influence of human action on erosion, transport and deposition of material in the drainage network in the Peripheral Depression of São Paulo State, as well as understand the forms of occupation and spatial organization of human groups who inhabited the region during the Late Holocene. Frameworks of landscape evolution will be systematized through geochronology and interpretation of low terraces and flood plains that will support Landscape Archaeology, ie, the forms of interaction between human groups and their environment during the Late Holocene. The ethnogeomorphology composes the systematization of the final frame, where starting point is the perception that these groups had their own environment.With the execution of the project is expected to create landscape scenarios using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for the São Paulo peripheral depression during the late Holocene, as well, simulations of how human groups perceived this space through ethnogeomorphologic frameworks of the area related to toponyms and successive forms of occupation of state territory, may assist in environmental planning and geoconservation.
