Abstract

In the last decades has been seen a movement in the childhood studies has been seen, a paradigm's change that take the children as social actors who interfere in the environment where they live, and in this perspective, the childhood is seen as socially constructed. Considering that the field is internationally known and researchers from different countries have shown their research in conferences and published papers related to the topic, it was noticed that few work about childhood has been developed in South America. A brief search on the internet indicated some theoretical referential about childhood studies, which seems to indicate the urgency of developing more studies about childhood and children in countries with Spanish language as a mother tongue in South America. Our interest is to investigate who research it, what is researched and how is it researched. This study wants to develop an investigation about childhood studies in at least two countries of South America, in order to comprehend what is being researched and produced about childhood. The research will be qualitative methodology, through the analysis of studies related to the childhood sociology in countries of Spanish language in South America by the internet. After such collection we intend to schedule visits and interviews. For the analysis, the data collected in the interviews and in the visits will be considered as well as the published works about childhood in the sociology childhood perspective. (AU)
