Abstract

The accuracy in determining the charge transfer to the ground is of great importance for the engineering of foundations, because in their projects they search to reconcile the reduction of cost while maintaining the same security. The northwestern region of São Paulo is covered by a stratum of Cenozoic sediments (collapsible soil), a fact that just requiring the use of foundations in drill cuttings for buildings small to medium size. This need resulted in the study and creation of a field device that provides values of side friction and tip resistance with speed and accuracy. This equipment is instrumented pilot stake that was used in Experimental Foundations of fields : (1) FEIS / UNESP - Single Island (SP) ; (2) USP / ABEF - São Paulo (SP), and (3) EESC / USP - São Carlos (SP), yielding great results for many types of foundations and piles installed tested in these experimental fields. Research with instrumented drill cuttings, 30 cm in diameter, is underway in Field Experimental Foundations of the FEIS / UNESP, in the municipality of Single Island, which is inserted in the northwest region of the state. So far three instrumented piles with 6 m long and 8 m with three other three stakes of 4 m shall be tested by the end of this semester were tested, thus completing the data that will be used in this research, which aims to apply the income earned by the rider stake in this experimental field, in a retroanalítica analysis to determine the values of the lateral friction and tip resistance, and also the load capacity for each cutting length, compared with the values obtained from load tests with instrumented piles into royal grandeur.
