Abstract

Head and neck cancer represents 3% of all types of malignancies and Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) accounts for 90% of these cases. Studies have shown the involvement in various aspects of the quality of life of patients with head and neck cancer. However, little is studied about the quality of life of caregivers (usually family members). Objective: to evaluate the quality of life of patients with head and neck cancer and their caregivers. Methods: 30 patients and their caregivers prospectively selected, which will answer four questionnaires about quality of life will be included in the study. The questionnaires pose no risk to patients or their caregivers. (AU)
