Abstract

The masters project aims to evaluate the use of additive-multiplicative hazard models that incorporates timedependentcovariate efects, deepening the knowledge about the models. Initially a through review isunderway. In the sequence, estimation methods and the asymptotic properties will be evaluated computationally. It is also planned to investigate what are the diagnostic analysis already developed and, fromthis, investigate ways of classifying covariates into additive or multiplicative structure. In the process, thediferences between the two models will be better understood and, possibly, methods to choose the mostappropriate one in a practical situation will be proposed.During the research internship, the candidate will be working on the topics described jointly with Prof. Giovani Silva and, whenever possible, with Prof. Antonio Carlos (the advisorin Brazil) electronically.
