Abstract

This project has the aim of investigating how the processes of constitution of the subject teacher of rural education happen through the teaching practice, in relation with the appropriation of the space in which they act. The theoretical basis that guides the understanding of the constitution of the subject is the historical-cultural perspective, emphasizing Vygotsky's works in dialogue with the concept of appropriation of the space, derived from environmental psychology. Five teachers of field education from schools of the region of Ribeirão Preto (São Paulo, Brazil), who are working for the first time in this context, will participate in the research. The instruments of data collection will be: 1) individual interviews, carried out once with each teacher at the beginning of data collection; 2) commented circuit method, in which the teachers will have the companionship of the researcher in routes they often cover; 3) observation of activities developed by the teachers, in which each teacher that will indicate two activities or projects to be monitored by the researcher. For the data analysis, there will be detailed reading of the produced material, looking forward to building relations between the reports and practices of the participants and the theoretical framework adopted.
