Abstract

This project aims to understand some of the current Bioscience invested in the construction of narratives and explanations for issues that traditionally constituted under the humanities. Thus seeks to grasp what's actually new in their historical and social meanings. To do so, we will focus particular attention to responses ontological that the Biosciences are giving to the question What is man? The idea is to analyze the Guns, Germs and Steel and Tabula Rasa Jared Diamond and Steven Pinker, respectively, renowned authors in the field of Natural Sciences contemporary works, with a view, among other features, the criticism that desferem two important characteristics of the field knowledge post-modern: anti ontological your character and your anti metanarrative plea. The hypothesis to guide our research is that the theoretical gap open during his decades of 70 and 80 by post-modern discourse was one of the responsible for spreading Ontology-Bioscience. (AU)
