Abstract

The present project intends to study the contributions of the analysis of the world-system in the comprehension of the process that originated the capitalist system. This way it tries to show the methodological principles and instruments of analysis developed by this theoretic perspective, along with the intend to show how it interprets the historical origin of capitalism and it's system. The emphasis of the study will be in Immanuel Wallerstein's work, which will later be compared with the work about origin of the capitalist system in the Marxist line of Maurice Dobb. With that in mind, the research desires to indicate and approach the world-system analysis's contribution in the apprehension of the historical origin process of the current humanity's condition.
