Abstract

This project of research internship (BEPE) will be developed as an integral part of my PhD research entitled: "Bourgeois houses, modern architects: social conditions of production of Paulista architecture in the years 1950-1970" in which I propose an investigation on commission of modern residences in São Paulo. Based on this type of patronage, this research seeks to examine the affinities between architects and clients who shared patterns of taste in life styles. The research internship is planned to be held at the Centre Européen de Sociologie Politique et Science de la Sorbonne (CESSP), École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales(EHESS). This period of study is considered an opportunity to foray into the theoretical and methodological developments in sociology practiced there, as well as an opportunity to survey research sources, contributing to the theoretical and empirical improvement of my doctoral dissertation in progress.
