Abstract

Electroweak transition form factors are important ingredients in the extraction of different physical observables for hadronic and exclusive semileptonic decays. In this project within a light-front framework, we will calculate the transition form factors for semileptonic decay of B mesons into K or charm D mesons . These form factors will be then used to caluclate the different physical observables such as branching ratio, and different asymmetries observableswithin the standard model as well as beyond the standard model.The measurement of the said physical observables is one of the major goals of LHCb, and the theoretical predictions of the light front approach will provide the fertile ground not only to test the long distance physics within the standard model but also clear some smog to look for the imprints of physics beyond the standard model.
